Reducing RSI by using a Wacom as trackpad
Posted 17.06.2013 @ 10.21PM
I tend to use a Wacom for almost everything apart from the web as it can be awkward to scroll.
Just to echo Aldous regarding the Bamboo.
I started working in house a while back and requested a Wacom and I was horrified to find an A5 Bamboo waiting for me.
To be honest I was REALLY surprised how well it compared to my big Intuos at home and for the money they're awesome.
I don't draw in PS or anything so to be honest it's just as good really for what I use (AI mostly).
All apart from accidentally catching the "Touch On" button which is a pain in the arse so if anyone knows how to diss-able it I'd be happy to hear.
The other good thing about a Wacom is if you've got a mouse grabber of an AD, it's quite funny to watch them try to use a tablet and even better when they try to use your stylus as a pen for writing.
The little things..... :D

Advice for young designers

1. Turn back now and run away. Don't EVER look back.
2. You need to deal with complete arse holes from time to time.
3. The inability to tollerate complete arse holes.

@Scotty , keen to see some of your illustrations/characters for this month.
A couple of weeks back, I collaborated with a Sydney fashion photographer, Anna Pogossova, on a Burberry project.
It was my first time having a play in a photography studio. She shot these great photos that I drew over:

Hey everyone,
I remember a few years back, AIF had a community on the folio–based Behance website. I've been a Behance member for as long as I have been a member here, and personally, I find it extremely effective in terms of exposure. With that being said, I'd highly recommend people with spare time to join and post projects—it's completely free!
My Behance profile is here; http://www.behance.net/aldous
Other AIFers I have in my network at the moment are:

::With regards to freebies, I do mean a few fonts I have created etc. so perhaps I need to reword that ::
I'm on yer wing buddy. ;P
At the moment I'm working on t-shirts and a bit of product design so I'm having a lot of fun font-wise.
Well, about as much fun as you can have with a font anyway.
Totally digging Mission Script and Feast Of Flesh.
On a bit of a retro thing I think.
