I think the death of round corners is due in the near future.
Not sure what this means for buttons, maybe a return of drop shadows or embossing? Maybe button borders? What do others think?

You're calling an end to a shape? That is a ridiculous statement.

Maybe death is a little permanent. I meant as a style trend, I think we'll see less round corners for ui elements as a default (i.e. bootstrap buttons, wells etc) and more hard corners.

Twitter seems to disagree with me.

I just noticed our avatars are opposite to our posts. Yeah fair enough, I just feel like I've been using circles and round corners forever.

Contemporary Practice
Posted 12.05.2017 @ 11.05AM (Edited 12.05.2017 @ 11.07AM)
Hello,
I'm currently a design student after some help with my assignment - I am to discuss with other design students and professionals the current trends within contemporary practice.
Just some simple information from anyone with regards to what design field they are currently in, a couple of trends that are currently popular in your line of work, have these trends been current for a substantial amount of time and what part of design history this trend could be linked to!
Hope someone can help me out!!
Immy.
