A recent discovery, Bradley Pinkerton is making some fantastically experimental design work that's full of handcrafted detailing and thankfully all on show on his beautifully curated Instagram feed. We asked him a few questions, so read on to hear his thoughts on learning from mistakes and collaboration.
What have you been working on lately?
I've been working on a few music related jobs and a layout for a Perth based surf photography magazine.
What would be your dream client?
A dream client to me are people who are open to collaboration—on ideas, process and creative freedom. A strong relationship that's sustainable which both parties learn and grow together.
What have been the influences that inform your aesthetic and approach to design?
Meeting different people from other industries, not just graphic design, have influenced me a lot. Learning from mistakes and working through them have also influenced me, it has also made me a lot more confident in my work process.
Can you point us towards any other creatives we should know about?
Tim Meakins, one of my best mates in Perth is doing some amazing mural and identity work. John and Linda at Wary Meyers have been producing absolutely stunning contemporary soaps and candles too.
